About this course

Before you start:

The course is constantly under construction. Lipsticks become discontinued, site structures change and links that I have put in here are broken.

I am in the process of updating the course. It takes time, so please feel free to return to the course from time to time to see what's new for your season. Those of you who are on my Nordic Simplicity mailing list will get a heads up when major updates to the course have been made.

The custom of painting the lips has been around for thousands of years. According to Wikipedia, people engaged in lip-painting as early as 5000 years ago.

So when we choose to paint our lips, we are in the company of ancient Sumerians (crushed gemstones) and Egyptians (crushed bugs). In the nineteenth century, carmine (again, crushed bugs)  was mixed with oils and wax, and applied with a brush, and available only in deep red.

Pretty far from today's vast variety of (mostly bug free) moisturising lipsticks in myriads of colours.

Lipstick is uniquely feminine, and most of us have a relationship with it, whether we love it, hate it, or are afraid of it.

No matter which colour tone you are or what lifestyle you have, it is possible to find a lipstick that is perfect for you.

Also, I want you to know:

I don't have an affiliate relationship with any of the companies that I refer to in the lessons. I am not getting any income based on your clicks on the links in the lessons.

Onwards to the lessons!

How should you wear lipstick?

Is there more than one way to put it on?

How many lipsticks do you need?

The stages of your relationship with a lipstick.

So how do you know if it's the right one?

How do you know if it's just a fling, a summer romance, or could develop into a long-term relationship?
