How a guinea pig packs
That sleek looking capsule wardrobe for traveling looks cute when it's done up in collages on URSTYLE using designer clothes made for lean long models.
But what if I'm a regular woman, with shape like a guinea pig who owns ordinary clothes? Show me one of those travel wardrobes!
Okay. I can do that.
I'm the perfect example. Having a rather sturdy shape and not overly interested in fashion. Passionate about colours, sure. Fashion, not so much.
But like you, I'm not indifferent to what I'm wearing. I really like to dress in clothes that make me feel like me.
And I want dressing to be easy, so that I can spend my energy on other important things. Like making Far Breton with friends.
So I recently packed to go away for three weeks and since I recently posted this article: 3 weeks vacation with only hand luggage, the thought struck me to share my personal example of hand luggage with you.
My actual, real life hand luggage. No filter. No smoke and mirrors.
Travel outfit
This is what I'll travel in.
Black jeans and white sneakers. Linen dress which functions as a loose tunic on top of the jeans. Yellow cardigan.
I usually wear a belt with the jeans, but I pack the belt in the carry-on bag because it's such a hassle to wrestle with the belt in the security check.
Last but not least, a not very stylish but very practical cross body Fjällräven handbag.

The clothes
This is what I pack: Two dresses, two linen tops and one cotton T-shirt, a fabulous red silk shirt which doubles as a loose jacket, white linen shirt (same versatility as the red silk shirt), a soft, lightweight sweater, a pair of black fancy-pants and a skort. and a pair of FitFlop sandals.
Doesn't look like much, does it? But I can make so many outfits with these items.The skort and pants can be used with all the tops, and I can wear the white and red shirts as "jackets" over the dresses for cooler evenings. I can change things up with the sneakers and the sandals. I also have the yellow cardi and the black linen dress from the travel outfit!
If the weather turns really cool I can wear the jeans I traveled in and the red shirt under the white fluffy sweater.
All in the bag
The left compartment is taken up by the sandals, underwear, swimwear and nightwear (really boring so I'm not going to show you that in detail). There's room for toiletries (also really boring so not pictured).
Worth noting: The boring stuff, the underwear/nightwear/toiletries/extra shoes take up about half the space in the travel bag. The right hand side of the bag has the clothes from the last image, all rolled up and fitting snugly.
Other essentials
Mac, notebook, chargers. There's room for those in the middle compartment and in with the underwear.
Handbag
Knitting, books (on Kindle), passport.
Also ending up in this back is inevitably all the stuff my husband doesn't want to carry.
Good thing it's roomy.
The carry-on weighs in at around 7 kg, so not exceeding the limit for hand luggage on board.
